WITH CITROËN CXPERIENCE CONCEPT, THE "BE DIFFERENT, FEEL GOOD" SPIRIT IS MOVING INTO THE HIGH-END SALOON SEGMENT.
At the 2016 Paris Motor Show, Citroën is unveiling the CEXPERIENCE concept car, the latest expression of the “Be different, feel good” spirit. The concept car’s extraordinary body styling and aerodynamic lines reinvent the cues in the high-end saloon segment – and the same applies to the interior with its global approach to comfort.
HORIZONTAL LINES
With CXPERIENCE CONCEPT, Citroën is unleashing a powerful expression of the “Be different, feel good” spirit. The car’s extraordinary body styling – at 4.85 m long and 2 m wide for a roof height of just 1.37 m – illustrates the brand’s determination to stand apart in the high-end saloon segment.
The chevrons and their double chrome bars extending out to the headlamps emphasise the width of the car. Particular attention has been paid to the V-shaped DRLs, lending CEXPERIENCE a high-tech gaze comprising slender 3 mm blades that elegantly house the indicators.
CONTEMPORARY INSPIRED INTERIOR
The interior of CXPERIENCE is influenced by contemporary architecture and decoration. The innovative design is expressed through shapes and a strong horizontal theme, from the seats to the dashboard. The high-end materials are cloaked in an invigorating citrus yellow colour.
STYLISH SEATS
The seats are upholstered using a warm covering with a mattress effect. Like the dashboard, the seat backs are cut out of elegant walnut wood lending the whole a highly architectural air.
WELL-BEING OF BODY AND MIND
Featuring walnut wood, “sea green” geometric fabric, citrus colours and relaxing light, the CXPERIENCE cabin has been designed in shapes and materials embodying the Brand’s singular take on the universe of high-end models and comfort.
While comfort has always been a key Citroën leitmotif, “Citroën Comfort” has now become a true signature of the Brand. Citroën comfort today has taken on a more global dimension and integrated a broad range of criteria including light, liveability, ergonomics and connectivity.

HYBRID TECHNOLOGY FOR AN ENHANCED “XPERIENCE”
And because automotive well-being is first and foremost about driving pleasure, CXPERIENCE CONCEPT places technology at the service of the driver experience. The concept car’s plug-in hybrid powertrain combines efficiency and effectiveness in the long term by providing exceptional on-road performance with its 150 bhp to 200 bhp petrol engine and the energy generated by its 80 kW electric motor.
CXPERIENCE CONCEPT can also operate in all-electric mode, bringing drivers a range of 60 km in urban use and limiting fuel consumption on the open road by alternating the two energy sources. On motorways, the petrol engine takes over to provide combined power of 300 bhp, rivalling the largest top-end saloons.
