Driving Assistance
Not all features listed here are included on every Citroën model; please refer to our model showrooms to discover the technology features on specific models.
ETG6 automated gearbox
The ETG6 (Efficient Tronic Gearbox 6) makes the car particularly easy to manoeuvre.
It features a creep function enabling the driver to adjust accelerator power more effectively at low speeds. The gearshift patterns make gear changing smoother and more comfortable, with fewer shifts from first to second. These shift patterns also cut fuel consumption and CO2 emissions when the driver adopts an economic driving style, i.e. with low acceleration. The gearbox lubricant, providing increased efficiency, also contributes to this reduction.
Parking space ‘gap’ measurement system
Using sensors built into the front bumper, the parking space ‘gap’ measurement system tells you whether a free parking space is big enough for your car and how difficult the manoeuvre is likely to be.
The sensor scans the length of the parking space as you drive slowly past. The measurement process is complete when the front of the car passes the space. The system beeps and a message flashes up on the multifunction screen to tell you whether parking is possible, difficult or inadvisable.
Hill Start Assist
The Hill Start Assist function helps the driver to set off or manoeuvre on gradients.
When the brake pedal is released, the ESP automatically maintains a stationary position for up to two seconds, offering the driver the time to move their foot from the brake to the accelerator without the vehicle moving forwards or backwards on a slope.
Blind spot monitoring system
The blind spot monitoring system detects vehicles up to three meters away.
If someone has moved into that critical area where it’s hard for you to see just using mirrors, a bright orange light illuminates in the wing mirror on the relevant side. Now you’ve got an extra pair of eyes looking out for you.
Park Assist 360
Park Assist 360 provides all-round vision from four cameras; one at the front, one at the rear above the registration plate, and the other two below the exterior door mirrors for peripheral vision.
It’s perfect for hassle-free parking manoeuvres in the tightest spots and further enhances the automated Park Assist system.
Park Assist
An advanced active parking aid, Park Assist finds a suitable space then smoothly guides the New Citroën C4 Picasso into it.
All you have to do is engage reverse, accelerate and brake. Audible signals and a clear picture on the 12 inch panoramic screen let you know what’s happening every inch of the way.
Reversing Camera
When the car goes into reverse, the reversing camera shows the area behind the car on the main cabin screen.
This view uses colours to show how near any obstacles are.
Keyless entry and start
It starts the moment you walk towards the vehicle.
There’s no need to get your keys out, because the car detects the electronic key fob as you approach. Simply touch the door handle to get in and touch the Start/Stop button to get going.
